Zee French. Zey are saucy

Tonight I'm dining at La Madeleine for a work meeting. While most people have probably had at least one meal there, I have personally avoided that place like the plague for a couple of reasons. 1) It's French and therefore snooty and I hate snooty restaurants, and 2) It's French and I probably can't eat a single thing on their menu. As you can see it pretty much boils down to the fact that it's French. Don't get me wrong...I don't hate the French. Just everything they stand for.

In preparation for tonight's meeting I checked out their menu online so I could get a feel for what I might be able to eat. I was as disappointed as I expected to be. They insist on smothering everything they make with flour thickened sauces. Grrrrr. It looks like I'll be having a salad for dinner even though it's really the last thing I want to eat right now. Oh well. At least I have a Hebrew National hotdog waiting for me at home. The Jewish, they know how to make me happy!

Psh! The Jewish. I'm not a fan of what they do to babies. You know what I'm talking about!
