Confirming what I have long been told

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.

That quiz sucks.

1) You sound more like you're from the south than anywhere else (sorry)

and

2) It told me I was from Minnesota or something. Um, that would be a no.

and

3) People from Pennsylvania sound nothing like people from Missouri. And where the heck is Oklahoma in all this?

There are better linguistic quizzes out there, but I'm at my mom's so I don't have the time to find them. Remind me soon and I'll look into it.

I will admit I have a slight Texas accent sometimes. However, it's far from a traditional southern accent. After spending last weekend with my Tennessee relatives, I can safely say I sound nothing like them.
