Talk nerdy to me...and I'll probably look at you very confused

I am clearly not smart (read nerdy) enough to even begin to understand this webcomic.

But I think my husband probably is

I think I'm missing the humor in this one, but the math is definitely wrong.

[{0, 1}, {-1, 0}] x [{A1},{A2}] = [{A2},{-A1}]

{} separate rows
, separate columns

Dave.

That's not even an identity or inverse identity matrix. I'm so confused. What's the joke here. It's killing me!

I'm so dumb. It's a 90 deg rotation matrix. Hah. Darn you vectors! Thanks for the mathematical tuneup!

Otis:

Actually Matrices are some of the few things that I never really grasped. I prefer more blatant humor, like the Integral of e^x. Or Pirate humor like the area of a circle. Ar dee Ar dee theta!

kelly:

So is that neo and trinity doing the horizontal rotation in the matrix?

Ok, that joke was very, very bad. You can groan, it's ok.
