Posting has been absent for a while. Not that I haven't had anything to post about. In fact, I've had so much going on that I simply haven't had the time to write. First major piece of news:

We're buying a house. This house, the one you see below.

We close on May 21st and are super excited. It's in our ideal area, our ideal size, and well...I could go on for a while. Basically, it's everything we hoped to get in a house. It definitely makes the long and emotionally draining process of looking for a house worth it. Now we wait for closing. We can't wait to get it and start working on it.

This past Sunday Otis and I headed out to Boerne to take my little sister's senior pictures. Isn't she beautiful?

I was a little nervous about this since I've never taken portraits before, but I'm really pleased with how they turned out. And more importantly, so is she. I can't believe my baby sister is graduating from high school this year. That only means one thing - I'm getting old.

I'll keep you posted on the house thing, and I plan to chronicle the changes we make here as well. Yesterday we picked out a shingle color for the roof, which is to be replaced in the next couple of weeks, and I think the color will go perfectly with the lovely colors Otis' interior designing sister picked out for us. Yay for new houses!
