The most beautiful thing in the world

This morning, after a late night of shower plumbing repairs, Otis and I slept in a bit and then, wait for it - we took a shower. In our very own bathroom. It was truly glorious. I've decided this is why life royally bites sometimes. Otherwise how would we ever be able to appreciate the simple things in life, like not having to bathe in a kitchen sink?

Mom MOM:

So, the leak is fixed?? Did you have to tear out the kitchen wall?? I have been praying everything would work ok.

Otis:

So the leak ended up requiring us to rip out a piece of the wall behind the dishwasher, but that's almost good news because we can now put in an access panel so we can easily get to any other potential problems in the future. So while it did require cutting out the wall, bringing in the sawzall and redoing some pipework, it appears that all will work out well.

We'll see if everything actually does work out alright later today when I redo the electrical for the dishwasher, finish putting in fixtures for the tub, redo the manifold under the house and create connections for the washer and dryer.
